I was over in Blades Edge to do a few over there. I had saw this amusing comic on gucomics and someone mentioned a mod called Ogri'Lazy. I found it on wowinterface.com and wanted to try it. I found one flaw in it. As I was trying to do it I'd get thrown off, usually at the end where I couldn't remember because the mod was loosing track. Then I realized it was picking up the progression of other people around me. Neat mod besides that though :)

I was about to head to bed when Thailos asked if I would heal for Murmur. So I went and did so. I got a couple unlucky touches in the beginning that caused me to loose the warrior in the group. Everyone else but Thailos and me died because of his sill range attacks. Thailos wasn't initially listening to me telling him to just stay in the sonic boom. Paladins can't effectively run in and out but I haven't met one that couldn't live through it (protection anyways). Problem is most people look at me funny when I tell them to stand in the big AOE attack lol. He started staying in it though and we ended up winning just barely. Though he was alive here in this shot he died immediately after. I didn't ask him but I'm going to assume he was touched just before death lol

I got a little bit of free Lower City rep. I finish that some day! :) Then I'll finally have my hammer of justice!

Last Instance Before Vacation

Well the signs of Winter Viel are everywhere, even in the city of Shattrath! While I was up there I saw a Druid had started the event for that 5 man quest I also had. He was a horde druid, I didn't mess with him instead I kinda helped because it seemed like it would be possible for Inian and I to two man this.

Finally get Inian over here and we give it a go. It was a little tough but not hard. I just kept healing the NPCs and let Inian do most of the damage.

Which worked fine we won and one group quest out of the way. It got me thinking though were we uber enough to do some of the other group quests?

Yes and No :) We did the shadow moon one that we had an item in our inventories for. That silly book we had to tear pages out of. We killed the 3 or 4 demon guys around the terrace before we got to the last guy. Inian tanked them all, it was kind of funny. I just kept healing him through while he killed the mobs and I just threw up Pain. This worked pretty well till we got to the last guy. We just didn't have enough dps to kill him before we both ran out of mana. So Kakuma in my guild, a nice destruction lock got on and I got him to come help. We were able to make short work of him after that! We had our revenge.!

We tried to do the nexus king by ourselves, we were doing ok still he split :) We tried another shadow moon quest, aldor one where you fight the guy flying around on the drake. That one didn't go well at all as soon as we hit the warlock tons of these archers kept spawning. Definitely need 5 people for that puppy.

Got a few group quests out of the way. They definitely are still elite and Fesster would have had issues with them.

I killed all around the church, and inside and declared myself Deacon! I'm not sure what made me think about EQ. I think I was thinking about the old days.

I've played a lot of MMO's, I mean ALOT. I consider myself very well versed in the genre :) When In my later years in EQ I was always looking for the next great thing like I often see from WoW forum posters. While doing this I think I missed out on some of the greatness I already had in EQ. I could never find the emotional attachment I had with EQ in another other MMO I tried, at least until I started playing WoW. My experiences in EQ as just as vivid and emotional as some RL moments. I can remember the first time I tracked my little Halfling over to Qeynos. I can remember the firs time I set eyes on the Karanas. I have lots of fond memories of EQ, there was a lot of good in that game. Hell many people still play it! They are on there 14th expansion!

I was never all powerful in EQ, it was a much harder game than WoW, in my quest for the next best thing I missed out on that. When I started playing WoW, I finally found that feeling again. This time I was older and wiser, I am playing this game and enjoying it. I don't care about what is coming next, except what is coming in WoW. I managed to control my alt problem :) Well at least to the point of never sacrificing my main. I enjoy the game I have now. I have the same emotional attachments to WoW I had in EQ. I can still remember the first time I walked into Loch Modan, the old Horde raids on South Shore, the first time I flew from Ironforge to Stormwind, the day the AQ gates opened, the undead Invasions of Naxx. I have tons of good memories, many one time kind of memories and more to come I'm sure.

Anyways if you are enjoying WoW, just remember to take it all in, don't worry about what's coming next or you might miss out on something you already have!

Onto my adventures, well sort of a quite night anyways. I thought I'd try an instance, it had been quiet the past couple nights I thought it was safe. Of course the minute I try I had a few RL interruptions :) Ahh well people are always making me wait! Anyways I got in a Heroic Underbog group. It was a great group, most spectacular was the Paladin, he was the tank, and had like 16k HP. He could hold agro on entire groups of mobs, we did not CC whats so ever. He would just have them all beating on him. He was pretty amazing. If I had one complaint it would be he would run off and pull without me hehe He could tank boglords like they were level nothing. The sad thing was is we were just about to the second boss and his guild needed him for Grulls. We couldn't find a tank and gave up.

Oh well I did a few dailies then went to bed.

Uldaman Run

I was happily or maybe unhappily loosing AB games trying to do the PvP daily when some of the guys were wanting to run Uldaman with their alts. They were too low for the final quest. I really wish I could pickup all this gold :) This is the part where you get all the history of the Dwarves, maybe it is why I like this instance so much. I lost one person who ran out of LOS. Mostly since Holy Nova would heal them for like 75% of their lives, I could easily keep them up while destroying everything else. I enjoyed it of course :)

After I went back and tried to win AB, after loosing 2 more games I gave up and went to bed. I ran across this rare in Nagrand I had never seen. So all my pvp dailies have been paying off. Like I've mentioned before the more resilience I seem to get the more fun I seem to have pvping.

Little bit later Inian got on and I dragged him into a few AB runs with me. Just for the hell of it I respeced a little and moved points out of force of will into Focused Will and Martyrdom. This drastically increased my survivability even more.

In the last AB game I did in the night we were loosing but I noticed the horde had ran off and left BS unguarded, so from LM I mounted it leaped as high and far as I could, and levitated down to land right on the flag. I managed to hit it before anyone noticed me. Then a rogue came out of stealth beating on me. Surprisingly I'm living, then a hunter came to join him shooting me, surprisingly I'm still living. Now I keep both of them busy long enough to actually cap BS all by myself. Eventually I did run out of mana however and then I lost, and they had to recap BS. The horde won, but they didn't get BS back before they won! :b This was just an unusual triumph for me.

If I pick up even more of the S1 gear like I'd like too I will have even more HP and be even more hardy. Then I have yet another aspect of the game I can enjoy on my main :)

Terminator Sheep!

Got on for a little bit just to work on my engineering skill on Fesster. I decided to take advantage of WSG weekend and it turned out that was the PvP daily again too. I had done it just before leaving last night as well, though forgetting to mention it.

I like WSG as a druid, mainly cause druids really excel here :) WSG is even more fun as horde too, why? Because we win! I won 5 straight WSG games this evening. Some of them were close, some of them were blow outs, all of them were fun!

One of the wins was against a premade. It was a horrible premade but it was one. They had lots of epiced out people but they couldn't do anything but hold onto the flag really well. Eventually we'd pry it away and cap. They never scored once, but the game did last like 30 minutes. It was a really exciting game though with lots of back and forth and strategy on our part. We ended up with soooo much netherweave to put up on the AH too. I had a ton of beeds to turn into the consortium and ended up with tons of faction for what's there faces as well.

Then as we were finishing up some death and destruction the allies decided to make a move on Halaa. So we went to help defend it. We ended up fighting a warlock in S3 gear who had 12k HP and 452 resilience he was most defended. When I hit him I felt as if I was barely scratching him. We ended up getting some tokens, the ally attacks were a little too few and far between for my tastes.

Later we were turning in our beads at the consortium camp when we had some skuffles with the alliance. I didn't realize the consortium didn't defend you as I got attacked when I arrived at the camp. Then Mooshu me and another Shaman made them pay for what they did over and over. It was funny because one of the people we were making suffer was a paladin. We actually ended up being victims of the famed Bubble Hearth!! After updating the site yesterday I got on and Inian was already up to something so I ended up joining a guild Heroic Mech run. Here Thalios was organizing a screen shot so I of course took one as well for the site :) It was a fun run because I did Holy DPS instead of healing. Of course I was up against DPSers that far out class my equipment anyways. I was keeping up with Tzalak for a while (only because he is afliction and everything dies too fast) but then I died a few times and he took off past me :b

I still had a good time, got some badges. The badges will be the key to me getting some upgraded SOL gear if I can ever get enough of them. A new cloak, ring and bracers are on my list of things to get.

Oh and Thalios made me my eternium rod so I finally made my final enchanting rod! I'm still not quite sure what it was for, as far as I saw I could do every enchant with the one I had but I'd need to make it before the expansion probably anyways so it is done now. It had silly mats though but I had everything but the rod which was the easiest part :b

New Object Sparkle

I'm really finding the new object sparkle more anonying as time goes on. I found out Monday that I have Viral Gastroenteritis which had me spilling out at both ends at the same time. Yes it is not pleasant. I had been taking some prescription anti-nausea medicine along with anti-diarrhea medicine and the anti-nausea medicine knocked me on my butt. Which was fine with me because I didn't want to be awake during all this. I kid you not the worse thing I've ever had. Well why am I telling you this? First because that is why there hasn't been any posting for a while. I am catching things up here Friday and apparently on Tuesday, this is the kicker I was playing WoW and I don't remember doing it. I looked like I was having fun possibly?

Here I am running the flag, which is odd thing to be doing as a Priest I think but I apparently am looking successful.

Here it looks like me owning everyone with Holy Nova!

I find this funny because I don't remember actually using the computer until Wednesday night, and that was because I finally dared to stop taking the nausea medicine long enough to see if I was better. My account shows a creation date November 23, 2004 1:52 PM PST. I had purchased the collectors edition, and I can't quite remember but I want to say I had it and was able to signup while I was still at work.

It has been quite a ride these last 3 years. I got Inian to give up on EQ and join me, I've been to 2 Blizzcons, and had a Baby early this year! I've had 2 guilds which fell apart under their own weight. Been extremely hardcore, and extremely casual :)

Ahhh the life of WoW :) I respeced the other day back to my full Surge build because it was the most fun for me.

Also today Inian and I played on the test realm with the new talent changes on the mages :) The new frost talent Icy Viens is awesome! Its on a 3 minute cooldown gives you 20% haste, and an adtional 25% chance to proc frostbite for 20 seconds. Its coldsnappable too which incidentally is in the place of iceblock now and has a slightly shorter cooldown.

Of course no changes so far on the test realm for the Priests, they are quite mad about that actually :p

Mage Day

In honor of this post on the mage forums where the mages were told in 2.3.2 they will be getting trainable Iceblock we went on Doomhammer for some Ice-Hot Fun. Also in that post they described how they are putting Coldsnap in Iceblocks place, and lowering the cooldown. Then replaceing coldsnap with a nifty new buff that gives spell haste to frost spells, and more chance to proc coldsnap! Another nice addition to my very frosty arsenal!

We slayed many many ogres tonight along with many many nether guys. I had that silly quest in my inventory from the Grifta hehe I hadn't yet explored any of the bloodelf lands, so I needed to do that anyways. So here we are in the Ghostlands. I was extremely impressed with how awesome it looked. I think the bloodelves won as far as new starting areas. I had already explored all the new Aldor areas.

I really wanted to fish but apparently the fishing wasn't outside? Couldn't find any skull fish there anyways so I assumed it was inside. I though maybe Inian and I could maybe get somewhere we could at least fish. Sure enough inside the instance you run into Indiana Jones who tells you the only way in is for 5 people to bang on this gong. While I enjoyed banging on the gong we didn't have enough people to open the gate :(

So after that failure I wanted to explore ever song. We had the hardest time getting the bloodelf city to show up. Eventually we just had to run into it hehe We were able to easily run through the old side into the newbie area. The main city had many guards which we sped past and inian just froze them as we got away anyways :)

So I now have all the known world explored again yay! :) This is the only character I go through such efforts. I kept wondering what all the newbie's thought when they saw us running around. In one spot we stopped and I was admiring the scenery when two mid 20s Bloodelves attacked me for some reason. I made short work of them with two holy nova's for the audacity!

Was a fun evening of exploring anyways even if I didn't get my skull fish!

A Kara Pitstop

I was on a little early today while my son was sleeping. Managed to get in my cooking daily and was seeing about the PvP daily. If I do get on I like to do things I can drop when he wakes up.

I really lucked out on today's cooking quest. I got a blue recipe, delicious Stormchops! They look fun and now there is a use for lightning eel. Now I have to remember where I was always fishing those silly things up. They were always one of those funning things in WoW that has no use.

Then the guild was trying to get people together to finish 2 bosses in Kara. It was suppose to just be real quick they tell me :b I insist that I can't because my son could wake up soon. They really wanted me to come so I gave in and went. The saddest part was I had been trying to complete the PvP daily. Today it was EOTS which I have never won. We were actually winning when they summoned me! Oh well I kept thinking I'd at least get some badges for my time.

I love this screenshot I took here of us doing illhoof. He dropped the lightning capacitor, I rolled but lost. I thought that would go perfect with my SOL gear :) Fruits was sad because he had wanted that forever but he was on his warrior. He moved his Shaman out of our guild anyways :p It took us 3 times to Illhoof because of people not dealing with the chains very well.

Here we are just before Netherspite with Murky providing a little pre-battle entertainment!

Netherpsite went a little better, we did wipe once because Frootsack forgot to move in and out of the red beam. It scared me death on the second attempt which we did win I didn't see where the red portal was and some how managed to be in the way when it started. I quickly jumped out of the way and some how managed to not cause any problems. Scared the living crap out of me though! We finished him off anyways and he dropped some crap, people wanted it though at least. I got 4 badges out of it anyways so 1/5 of my new crit cloak! :)

I later came back after dinner for a few to try the PvP quest again. I did finally manage to get into a run that had people who had strategy and we won. I actually had fun too which I never do in this instance. Me and a feral druid had a fun battle as I escorted him back with the flag, 2 Shadow Priests tried to stop him. After he capped we had a battle with him that lasted forever. In the end though we won. Mostly because they kept mana burning me and using Gheal. They didn't exactly have huge mana pools or good mana regen without being in shadow form which neither of them were because they kept healing eachother. I got them really good with Chastise, and there mana burning wasn't much of a match for my much larger mana pool and superior mana regen :) I retired early to spending some time with the wife.
